Raised on a dairy farm in Southern California, Tom used to watch his father and grandfathers play and share their enthusiasm of the game. By the time he was 8, he was chasing after them on the course and whacking balls into the cow pastures. It was through the dairy life where a strong work ethic and dedication was bestowed at an early age.
Tom’s teaching career began by assisting Scott Arthur in instructing San Diego State University golf classes at Singing Hills Golf Resort. In 1998, he joined Ventana Canyon Golf & Racquet in Tucson, Arizona, a multiple award-winning, 36-hole, Tom Fazio designed facility. Returning home in 2002, he took on Eagle Glen Golf Club in Corona, California, serving as Head Golf Professional and Tournament Coordinator until he decided to dedicate more time to teaching and operating quality golf events.
Working under Troon Golf and industry leaders as Bill Crist, Carl Lohren, Mike Hancock, Jody Mudd, and more, Tom has been blessed by the exposure of operating high end golf facilities with personal touch service. His endeavors have provided the operation of over 9,000 tournament rounds annually. The primary focus of PGS is to assist organizations operate their events to ensure success. PGS has the experience and know how to make your event “one to remember”.
Personnel & Sub-contractors of PGS
Premiere Golf Solutions is owned and operated solely by Tom Borba. While additional personnel may be utilized depending on the event itself, PGS does not utilize the services of subcontractors. Any additional personnel, if utilized, would be golf and/or event planning specialists contracted through PGS to act solely as assistants to Mr. Borba. PGS assistants vary greatly depending on the event, the organization/participants involved, assistance needed, scheduling, and other factors determined by Mr. Borba.
Certificate of Insurance
Premiere Golf Solutions does carry a $1,000,000 General Liability Policy. Proof of insurance is available upon contractual agreement.
